Our menu comprises of traditional Jamaican fair with a few twists all prepared using the freshest of locally sourced ingredients. All of our meat and fish is marinated to perfection and our cakes are freshly baked. We believe that part of what makes us great is our eye for detail. We always strive to present our food to the highest standard to impress both you and your guests.
Our staff are always friendly, professional and polite. Dane Johnson is the man behind Danes Caribbean Catering.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Dane has always had a keen passion for Jamaican food and cooking. As a child he would intently observe his mother in the kitchen cooking absorbing all of the methods, ingredients and smells involved in producing delicious meals. He was always amazed by how with just a few ingredient she could create mouth-watering dishes for her family.
By the age of 10 under his mother’s guidance he had learnt to roll dumplings and several other basic dishes and resolved to one day launch his own food business.
At aged 11, Dane and his family moved from Jamaica to the UK. Dane began to assisting his mother in the kitchen much more frequently. The more responsibility she gave him, the deeper he fell in love with Jamaican food. In 2015 Dane channelled this love for Jamaican cuisine and fulfilled his childhood dream by launching Danes Caribbean Catering.
With a focus on exceptional customer service, sophisticated presentation and mouth- watering, authentic Jamaican dishes, Dane’s vision is to be the leading Jamaican culinary brand in the UK. His ambition is to help change the perception of Caribbean food and play a part in propelling it into the mainstream. He wants people of all backgrounds to know and love authentic Jamaican cuisine.
